Marissa Webb is one of my favorite new designers, so I was thrilled to have the chance to see her show at New York Fashion Week for the second year in a row. Her collection was the perfect combination of feminine and edgy,  complete with tulle skirts, tweed jackets, and chic color blocked pumps. For the  evening show, I decided to go with a printed shorts suit paired with a silk blouse, a bow necktie, and t-strap pumps.

Thanks so much for reading!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I want to share my fun floral look from day one of New York Fashion Week. I paired a full skirted dress with a plaid cropped jacket and sparkly accessories for a playful spring inspired look (in honor of the spring collections). Unfortunately, the temperature kept creeping up on me, so I had to ditch my pretty little jacket for most of the day. But that's okay because I think this little floral number stands alone just fine. Also, I love that this is considered a "prom dress". I guess one gal's prom dress is another gal's strolling around New York City dress.

I had such a great time at Fashion Week but it's good to be home. I'll be sharing the rest of my looks with you slowly but surely.

I hope you have an amazing week.

New York Fashion Week: Day 3

Jacket: Vintage, Dress: Charlotte Russe, Necklace: TJ Maxx, Earrings: H&M, Bracelets & Rings: Charlotte Russe, Bag: Vintage, Shoes: B Brian Atwood, Sunnies: Burberry, Lipstick: Beautique Liner "Real Red"

I'm so excited to share with you my look from Day 3 of New York Fashion Week. It has been such a busy couple of days with shows and meetings in the city, so you'll have to forgive me for the lack of blog posts. Today, I paired a red vintage jacket with a bold striped dress and strappy sandals for a ladylike chic look. I wanted to wear something that was polished,  put together, and statement making that would also be a great reflection of my personal style. There is a common misconception that everyone at fashion week is dressed in head to toe designer labels. While most people are maybe wearing a designer or two, there are still plenty who are dressed in affordable brands like H&M, Forever 21, and Charlotte Russe. I am a firm believer in the fact you can look chic on any budget so for the past 3 days I have been proudly wearing my inexpensive finds and mixing in a few higher end pieces here and there. Although, it was quite funny when someone approached me yesterday and said "who are you wearing" and I casually responded "forever 21."

That's all for now, I will be sure to share the rest of my New York Fashion Week outfits with you soon. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Be sure to follow along on Twitter & Instagram to keep up with all of the fashion week fun.

Happy Wednesday everyone! For today's look, I took one of my favorite full skirted dresses and wore it as a skirt. I topped it off with a blue sleeveless button down shirt and pretty gold accessories. We have been having a serious heat wave in LA so it's nice to be able to sneak off to New York for a few days. I landed in the city this afternoon and I'm so excited to spend a few days here going to the shows and taking in all of the fashion. If you want to keep up with my fun-filled fashion week journey be sure to follow along on Twitter and Instagram.

You know you're on a holiday weekend when the only things you have to worry about are: where you're going to make dinner reservations, and what channel you'll be listening to on Pandora while you lay out in the sun. Thankfully, this weekend was one of those. There was rest, relaxation, and of course, lots of beach time. I spent my days strolling around Manhattan Beach from sun up to sun down, so I thought it would be fun to share my day and night beach looks with you. A floppy sun hat, a big beach tote, and chic sunnies are my daytime must-haves, while at nighttime, I like to stick with strappy sandals, a statement necklace, and denim cut off shorts. Walking on the beach as the sun went down was quite the treat and we got to enjoy the perfect sunset. It was the cherry on top of a lovely weekend.

I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day! Thank you so much for reading.

Perfectly Pink

Jacket: Via Ebay, Shirt: Charlotte Russe c/o, Jeans: Charlotte Russe c/o, Earrings: Vintage, Necklace: Wild Butterfly Boutique c/o, Bag: Thrifted, Bracelets: Capwell & Co., Ring: Cache, Shoes: Charlotte Russe c/o,

A fun and flirty look for a lovely Friday morning. I paired a pink blouse with a matching pink jacket for a tone on tone look and added in olive high-waisted jeans and brown pumps to put a casual chic spin on things. I love the gold buttons on the jeans, the jacket, and the blouse  so I knew that they would all pair nicely together. I'm so excited for the long weekend ahead and I'm definitely going to make sure I spend some time at the beach to catch a few more rays before summer sneaks off.

What are your long weekend plans?

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Checkers & Cubes

Blazer: BCBG Max Azria (similar here), Top & Shorts: Via Ebay, Earrings: H&M, Bracelets: Capwell & Co. c/o, Ring: Wildbutterfly Boutique c/o, Sunnies: Burberry, Bag: Prada, Shoes: Steve Madden

Sometimes a simple black and white look is just what a gal needs to get through a busy day in the city. I paired checkered shorts with a black and white printed top for a fun look with mixed prints. The pajama dressing trend has been huge lately and I would say that this is my dressed up version of it.

I hope you are having a great week so far! Thanks for stopping by!

Style Challenge: New York Fashion Week

Jacket: Vintage, Dress: BCBG Max Azria, Earrings: H&M, Bracelets: IN Pink & Capewell & Co., Sunnies: Charlotte Russe c/o, Bag: Vintage Gucci, Shoes: Charles David

It's Monday and I'm so excited to be sharing with you another great Fashion Challenge. I've partnered with 7 of my favorite So Cal bloggers to bring you New York Fashion Week inspired outfit posts. You may remember our other challenges here for Coachella and here for Maxi Skirts. These are a fun way for us to share new blogs with you and to challenge ourselves to get a little more creative with our fashion choices. I decided to pair a ladylike lace dress with a vintage vest to put a fun spin on it. Last season when I attended the shows at Fashion week I wore mainly vintage pieces with a few trendy brands mixed in. I think it's a great way to ensure that you're wearing something totally unique and statement making.

Be sure to check out how KierLauraMelaneeJoann Jamie & Melissa, and Kimberly styled their NYFW looks!
Have a great Monday!

Stand Tall

Vest: Elizabeth & James, Shirt: Style Lately c/o, Pants: H&M, Earrings: H&M, Bracelets: Capwell & Co., c/o, Watch: Michael Kors, Necklace: via Nordstrom Rack, Shoes: Guess, Bag: Urban Expressions

Happy Sunday!
Today, I paired pretty printed pants with a graphic tank and threw in a black vest to add balance and structure. I love the message on this tank "we will stand tall" so simple and yet so inspiring. It must be quite obvious by now, that I'm definitely a girl who loves prints. Sure, some days I'll put on head to toe black for a chic and easy look, but most of the time I love wearing vibrant colors and prints. So much so that recently I had to pull clothes for a commercial shoot (seen here) and I wasn't allowed to wear any stripes, bold prints, or bright colors (typical when filming). I looked in my closet and had to bypass all of my favorite things. It's funny how we become so set in our personal style. So I think it's important to make a point to push yourself just a little out of your comfort zone.

On another note, I love it so much that you all stop by to visit my blog on such a regular basis, and that you take the time to leave wonderful thoughts and comments. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart and I would absolutely love if you could take a moment to subcribe. That just means entering your e-mail address in the box in the upper right corner. I really appreciate your support.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Summer Scarves With Charlotte Russe

Look 1: Top: Lush Brand, Jeans: Rag & Bone, Necklace: Tiffany & Co., Earrings: H&M, Bracelet: Charlotte Russe, Scarf: Charlotte Russe c/o, Shoes: Charles David
Look 2: Crop Top: Charlotte Russe, Skort: Zara, Earrings: Tacori c/o, Bracelets: Charlotte Russe & ASOS, Watch: Michael Kors, Scarf: Charlotte Russe c/o, Shoes: Shoemint, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff via Covet Fashion c/o

Scarves aren't just for keeping your neck warm in the winter. Light weight summer scarves are perfect for adding a pop of color or print to any outfit. Today, I styled two casual looks and accessorized them with chic Charlotte Russe infinity scarves both priced under $12! In the first look, I paired distressed denim with a silky blue blouse and pointed toe pumps and topped it off with a chevron print scarf. While in the second look, I paired a black and white striped crop top with a high waisted skort, a mint colored bag, and an Ikat print scarf. Also, if it's too hot to wear  around your neck you can always just tie it around the handle your favorite bag.

Scarves can be worn a multitude of ways. How do you like to style yours?

Thank you so much for visiting!
